I wanted to let you know that the information that I collected at the Autreat in April is turning out to be ground breaking work. I am in the process of writing it up now and hope to have a draft ready which I can submit to everyone by this summer.
But now I wanted to write and tell you that I started a new project that will look at your child with Autism's first and second birthday party videotapes. The hope is that there may be some subtle differences in these videotapes that we could begin to understand and thus initiate earlier interventions in the future. Attached you will see the flyer. Basically, the study will be a short survey, much like the one before but shorter and then just asking you to mail me the videotape of your child with Autism first and if you have it second birthday party videotape. If you don't have your child's first birthday maybe you have a Christmas or holiday event on video? To help with the cost of shipping and your time etc., I would then send you $25.00 gift certificate for each videotape, and also would make a copy of the videotape for you onto DVD, as well as return to you the original DVD.
